‘Madison really shines in the summertime,’ said Judy Frankel, director of public relations and communications for the Greater Madison Convention & Visitors Bureau. ‘We’re an isthmus, which means that we’re a body of land that’s surrounded by water, and so the lakes that are right on our downtown are wonderful.’
